Grace O’Hanlon Public Library
Grace O’Hanlon is a poet, musician, artist, journalist, and extreme sports enthusiast from Boston, Massachusetts. Drawing inspiration from the natural world, her work weaves together themes of philosophical absurdism, climate activism, and the intersections of memory and resilience. She is currently pursuing a BA in Fashion Business Management with a minor in English at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City and spent a year of her studies at the Polimoda Institute in Florence, Italy.
Her ongoing projects reflect her multidisciplinary approach. Daughter of an Undertaker is a poetry and photography collection, which navigates grief and childhood through surrealism. Grace is simultaneously developing a research thesis rooted in her family’s history in Vieques, Puerto Rico, examining climate displacement and infrastructural vulnerability in the wake of Hurricane Maria.
